If you feel like we are a good match for you, send an email to info@marciRD.com. Our assistant will provide you with all the necessary paperwork including the previously mentioned Getting Started Packet and Insurance Script.

We are located in the heart of Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA. We are easily accessible by subway and bus. For those of you coming by car, leave extra time to circle the area. There is metered parking on Mt. Auburn and Brattle streets. And there are also a few parking lots in the area but they can be quite expensive. We recommend giving yourself an extra 10-15 minutes to find a metered spot.

Absolutely. Most of our clients are in a place where they want to let go of the scale as measure of self-worth and want to be less obsessed with food. But their chronic histories of eating disorders and dieting make it really hard to do so! We want you to know that those are the principles that inform our work but that we are there to partner with you as you grapple through your own process of healing.

As you might expect, that depends. It depends on the purpose of our meeting, your goals, your readiness to change, the support systems you have in place, and many other factors. Most importantly, this is really up to you. We will encourage you to determine if your needs are being met and whether or not we are making progress toward your goals.

Our sessions are 50 minutes long. We take the first few sessions to really get to know you. This includes a thorough assessment where we go through the Getting Started Packet together, review your eating history, talk through current food and body struggles, and determine together a prioritized list of goals.

Follow-up sessions typically occur on a weekly basis. In each session we’ll delve more into understanding your unique relationship to food, explore what is and isn’t working, and refine your goals. We will continually provide you with guidance on how to find a peaceful relationship with food and your body.

We are currently contracted with BCBS, Harvard Pilgrim, and Tufts PPO insurance plans. If you plan to use your insurance as a form of payment you must fill out the insurance script at least one week prior to your first session. The cost of nutrition counseling is determined by your insurance provider. If you are paying out of pocket we can discuss our rates via email: info@marciRD.com

I have been attending conferences for over 30 years. Marci is one of the best speakers I have  heard in my career. She is an extremely knowledgeable and insightful and powerful speaker. She presents on the most complex issues and provides this information in a dynamic and professional manner. I could listen to her present all day.

Beth Mayer, LICSW

We all need a safe place to fall and a place to be real. Paula has been so patient as we peel back some emotional layers and try to understand why my eating was out of control for so long. Now I am learning a new way to see food as fuel, to read labels and make smart choices, and to apply a healthier “food as chemistry” plan. When I leave Paula’s office, I feel empowered, reassured, grateful, and rejuvenated about why and how to take better care of myself.

Blair Mize MS, RDN, CSSD, LDN

Although my work with Marci has focused primarily on eating, she has been instrumental in helping me to learn it is okay to advocate for my needs and that I deserve to have them met. That I am worthy and don’t have to apologize for who I am and who I’m not, particularly with respect to my body. I’m working on loving it, one day at a time. I believe when a person is strong, it’s because they have an army behind them, helping them through the hardest parts of life. Thank you for being a member of my treasured army Marci, thank you.

Paula is more like a nutrition therapist. Of course her knowledge in nutrition is extensive, but her heart is just as big! Her caring nature is evident in the way she interacts and respects each person she encounters! Her presence gives one a feeling of being worthy and a feeling of warmth.
