If you feel like we are a good match for you, send an email to info@marciRD.com. Our assistant will provide you with all the necessary paperwork including the previously mentioned Getting Started Packet and Insurance Script.

We are located in the heart of Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA. We are easily accessible by subway and bus. For those of you coming by car, leave extra time to circle the area. There is metered parking on Mt. Auburn and Brattle streets. And there are also a few parking lots in the area but they can be quite expensive. We recommend giving yourself an extra 10-15 minutes to find a metered spot.

Absolutely. Most of our clients are in a place where they want to let go of the scale as measure of self-worth and want to be less obsessed with food. But their chronic histories of eating disorders and dieting make it really hard to do so! We want you to know that those are the principles that inform our work but that we are there to partner with you as you grapple through your own process of healing.

As you might expect, that depends. It depends on the purpose of our meeting, your goals, your readiness to change, the support systems you have in place, and many other factors. Most importantly, this is really up to you. We will encourage you to determine if your needs are being met and whether or not we are making progress toward your goals.

Our sessions are 50 minutes long. We take the first few sessions to really get to know you. This includes a thorough assessment where we go through the Getting Started Packet together, review your eating history, talk through current food and body struggles, and determine together a prioritized list of goals.

Follow-up sessions typically occur on a weekly basis. In each session we’ll delve more into understanding your unique relationship to food, explore what is and isn’t working, and refine your goals. We will continually provide you with guidance on how to find a peaceful relationship with food and your body.

We are currently contracted with BCBS, Harvard Pilgrim, and Tufts PPO insurance plans. If you plan to use your insurance as a form of payment you must fill out the insurance script at least one week prior to your first session. The cost of nutrition counseling is determined by your insurance provider. If you are paying out of pocket we can discuss our rates via email: info@marciRD.com

Marci’s training is unlike anything available to dietitians working in, or wishing to advance their understanding of, the eating disorders field. Her combination of enthusiasm, highly organized content, concrete actionables, and in-depth knowledge of the research make this training unique and invaluable. The material presented in Marci’s training can only be otherwise gleaned by extensive individual research and study, regular conference attendance, and thoughtful participation in clinical supervision. I’ve been working in the field for over nine years and was thrilled by the new nuggets of information I took away from this training and started using in my practice immediately.

This is training is a gift that wraps Marci’s extensive knowledge and expertise in a relatable, thoughtful and energetic package that I have, and will continue to recommend without hesitation.

Anna Sweeney MS, CEDRD, LDN

Although my work with Marci has focused primarily on eating, she has been instrumental in helping me to learn it is okay to advocate for my needs and that I deserve to have them met. That I am worthy and don’t have to apologize for who I am and who I’m not, particularly with respect to my body. I’m working on loving it, one day at a time. I believe when a person is strong, it’s because they have an army behind them, helping them through the hardest parts of life. Thank you for being a member of my treasured army Marci, thank you.

Marci has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Through my supervision with Marci, I have gained further insight on how to approach different clinical situations with clients and gained tools that help to enhance my skills in counseling within the field of eating disorder recovery.  Marci’s warmth, empathy, and kindness makes being supervised by her and working towards my CEDRD a pleasure!

Kacey McCormack MS, RD

In January 2017 I was fortunate to see Marci Evans give an exceptional presentation on effective and safe non-dieting solutions to eating disorders recovery and gastrointestinal health. It was one of the top five most informative, dynamic, engaging, and indeed compelling presentations I have ever seen in approximately 35 years of attending conferences. Marci has the rare gift of being able to present detailed scientific information from multiple perspectives, while transforming its implications into useful and humane clinical guidance.

Michael Levine Ph.D., Fellow, Academy for Eating Disorders

My work with Marci changed my life. Not only my relationship with food, which I thought was irreparable, but she helped me learn how to trust myself and connect with my intuition and exist in the moment, in the world outside my thoughts and lists and calculations. I used to be so shut off. Now I feel like I am a part of the world when I am working with my clients and making meaningful friendships. My time with Marci helped make this possible.
