Having Equity in the Eating Disorders Field

I am thrilled to put all of my support behind the first upcoming BIPoC Eating Disorders Conference.

In the video below, I share with you my perspective on why we as a field desperately need this conference and the action you can take to support it.

IF you say you care about greater equity in the field of eating disorders, I challenge you to put some money behind your words. Below the video, there is a link to the conference site where you can register for the conference and/or participate in sponsoring the conference. The second link is a separate fundraising page for the conference, for any of you who cannot go to the conference and would like to contribute a smaller amount to this event. EVERY. DOLLAR. MATTERS.

If you are a clinician, student, intern, or individual who has been impacted in some way by eating disorders, you can make a difference. Donations as small as a couple dollars add up when we all work together.

Taking some positive action in the face of what feels like insurmountable pain is one of the things that helps us keep going as humans.

In the midst of our pain and feelings of powerlessness, let’s take a little action towards building the kind of world we want to live in.

I hope to see you at the conference in July.
