Body image dissatisfaction and distortion are key issues for many people regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, race or background. This can even be true for those not suffering from an eating disorder. Who are your hosts?

Marci Evans: The Food and Body Image Healer™, helps others to find a healthy, happy relationship with food, exercise, and their bodies.

A joy to work with because of her kooky sense of humour AND her expertise, Marci has dedicated her career to nutrition counseling, clinical supervision, and teaching in the field of eating disorders. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian and Supervisor, Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor and Certified ACSM personal trainer.

Her group practice is located in Cambridge, MA where she manages an amazing team of women who all specialize in the treatment of food and body concerns. She also holds three adjunct teaching positions in New England and co-directs the eating disorders specialty dietetic internship at Simmons College.

Marci volunteers for several national eating disorder organizations including the IAEDP Certification Committee, and is serving as an eating disorder resource professional for The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Deb Schachter: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker 

Deb has been specializing in the treatment of eating issues for over twenty years. She approaches her work through a relational model, focusing on the power of caring and connection in the healing process. She began her training in acute inpatient and medical settings, where she later developed day treatment programming for men with eating disorders and began running her ongoing outpatient groups for women in varying stages of life and recovery, “Recovering Ourselves.”

Deb has also consulted to various colleges in the area, supervising health education programs, and offering presentations to students and staff. She currently works full time in her private practice in Brookline where she sees individuals as well as facilitating groups and workshops. Deb’s work integrates mind body and spirit, and helps her clients develop greater independence, will and self worth.
