Marci E. Anderson MS, RD, cPT is a Registered Dietitian, ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and owner of Marci RD Nutrition Consulting. By combining her passion for food, nutrition, and fitness her goal is to take help each of her clients find a healthy and happy relationship with food and exercise. Her motto: “Life is stressful, your diet shouldn’t have to be!”

Marci empowers individuals to find a healthy balance with food and exercise. Through one-on-one counseling, public speaking, and culinary consulting Marci’s clients become their own nutrition experts, developing the confidence and skills necessary for making satisfying and nourishing food choices.

Areas of Expertise

Marci specializes in and works exclusively with people who struggle with eating disorders, body image and weight concerns, as well as emotional and compulsive eating. In the fall of 2010, Marci completed advanced training as an Intuitive Eating Skills Coach and uses a non-weight focused, non-diet approach in her practice. Marci also completed The American Dietetic Association’s training in adult weight management program and received a “Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management.” By integrating nutrition therapy, sensitivity, and a little humor she teaches a spectrum of clients how to heal their relationship with food and their bodies.

Career History and Education

Marci’s career as a nutrition and wellness expert began at the newly established Wellness Center at the Central Utah Medical Clinic in Provo, Utah. As a new and highly motivated dietitian, Marci was the first nutrition director and only nutrition expert at the medical clinic. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Applied Nutrition with an emphasis in treating obesity and eating disorders at Northeastern University in Boston.

Professional Interests

As an active member on local and national dietetic associations, Marci offers her unique skill set and expertise to organizing local networking opportunities for other dietitians, plan annual events, and write for newsletter publications. She is also a member of the Multi-Service Eating Disorder Association and currently serves on the Professional Membership Advisory Committee.

Other Work Experience

In addition to managing her own business, Marci was a nutrition consultant at the Laurel Hill Inn Day Treatment Program for eating disorders as well as the Wellbridge Athletic Club in Cambridge. Additionally, she taught a variety of nutrition courses through the Cambridge Center for Adult Education.

When she isn’t busy with work she loves curling up with a good book, exploring New England, eating ethnic cuisine, bike riding, playing with her nephews, and enjoying a good laugh.
